October 4, 2021

Dear Team,

I am delighted to present our Newsletter for September 2021.

The month of August was most eventful with several milestones. At the top of the list is our rebranding process which heralds our new identity and positioning in the downstream sector. The first half saw us build on the momentum gathered in the 2019 post-acquisition of ASCON and the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your tireless effort and commitment have been key factors in achieving this feat. Our newly branded Quest Service Station at Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, and others have enhanced our capacity to serve our customers across Nigeria and we are on track to deliver a solid performance in the coming months and years ahead.

As you all know, our world is being threatened by climate change occasioned by the release of greenhouse gases such as CO2 into the atmosphere. The need to reduce CO2 emissions has facilitated the surge of demand of countries around the world for renewable energy. As a responsible corporate entity, we are taking proactive steps to curb the effect of this on our environment and stakeholders. Through our innovative energy programs, we are enabling our customers and stakeholders to access cleaner and more efficient energy solutions, thereby building a sustainable ecosystem. We will continue to optimize our processes to build an organization that evolves with time.

Today, through our strategic communications and stakeholder engagement programs, Quest is now more respected and recognized by a wide array of personalities, entities, and corporate organizations than it was ten years ago. For this, I think we should all be proud of ourselves.

In line with our commitment to maintaining a work environment that supports mutual respect, and personal career development, we recently announced our new internal campaign aimed at engendering company-wide assimilation of “Trust” as a corporate philosophy. To demonstrate my commitment to this task, I will be working with the Corporate Communications & Branding Team to ensure that our goal is backed by credible and tangible actions.

In closing, our vision will continue to support the dreams and aspirations of every member of staff without exception.

The journey to a greater tomorrow starts here and now.

Thank you.

While there have been some improvements across many regions across the world, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a serious impact on people’s health and livelihoods. Quest is working hard to assist in the global fight against the virus and to support recovery efforts. One of our most significant roles has been to keep energy supplies flowing. Beyond this, we estimate that Quest’s total contribution during the pandemic, including donations of food and services, so far runs into millions, largely as voluntary initiatives.

Our priority remains to support our colleagues, our customers, and the communities where we work.

We have taken many steps to protect the health of our colleagues, including mandating strict compliance to COVID-19 protocols such as wearing face masks, encouraging office-based staff to work from home when they feel sick, depending on the advice of local authorities.

For people working on our stations, or other facilities, we continue to enforce social distancing and carry out health screening, and have procedures in place to allow the safe evacuation of any suspected cases of COVID-19.

Similarly, in our network of fuel retail stations, we are enforcing social distancing, wearing masks by our attendants, and carrying out deeper cleaning. Our confidential counseling service is available to help colleagues experiencing the psychological impact of the pandemic, and we continue to provide extra online resources to help people manage their physical and mental well-being.

Creating a positive impact on the environment, and value for our stakeholders.

We are able to deploy stand alone renewable energy related services from hydroelectric power, wind power and solar power generation to augment your existing work processes and methodologies.
